My Story

“What’s your secret?” a colleague kept asking me many years ago as I was breaking operational records while running a restaurant in Cincinnati, Ohio. My restaurant was exceeding operational, financial, and sales targets, as well as having the lowest turnover in the region. I figured out the “secret” to success. The so-called “secret” was to engage and involve employees, called employee engagement. Of course, that meant that as a leader, I needed to be engaged myself and open to learning new things from my team members.

That was only the beginning of a career that spans over 30 years of retail, hospitality, manufacturing, distribution, and healthcare industries.  The height of my career journey included launching large-scale leadership development initiatives, several HR technology implementations, organizational design changes, compensation and benefit design changes, employee and labor relations navigation, internal communication and content management. Ultimately, I’ve saved organizations millions and exceeded organizational goals through developing engaged teams, leaders, and workforces.

At the angst of tremendous economic turmoil, the great recession of 2008 brought, I recognized the need to connect HR strategies and techniques with ideal business results. I launched HR C-Suite in 2011 to answer the call. HR and leadership strategies and techniques are organized by business results.

I have dual master’s degrees in Business Administration and Human Resources Management from Golden Gate University. I’ve earned my undergraduate degree from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. I have earned a Senior Professional Human Resources, Six Sigma Black Belt Professional, and Change Management Specialist certifications.

My career journey has radically sharpened my understanding of leadership and organizational effectiveness. I help leaders and organizations achieve highly impactful results. Let’s have a conversation about how we can work together to help your organization raise the bar in excellence.
