Recession, reform and regulation have thrust businesses into a new era.  The status quo is now the “status isn’t.” Surviving the difficult economy required businesses to re-evaluate its resources, people, supplies and processes in order to become more efficient.  While evaluating those factors came into play, there is a deeper need calling out from this era of uncertainty.  That need is one for strong human resource leadership to arise above the status quo and be a driver of business results.

The “what” is a single item activity such as metrics, talent management, benefits/compensation, policy management, development, training, performance management, recruitment, and compliance but are not linked to anything.   While the “what” serves as a starter point for the profession, it is the “how” or “how to leverage resources to achieve business results” that will cause the HR Value Proposition to flourish as well as the organizations they serve.
